THE DEVIL's RADAR

Listen to the demonstration chapter of this new audiobook genre for free, right now.

“The Devil's Radar” is the title of a Straight-to-Audio Productions audiobook. It is the first audiobook of it's genre, using compelling music and a modern jump-cut narrative that is easiest understood by hearing. Please listen to The Devil's Radar chapter one, “The Basement” on the provided CD for an understanding of the sound and style of this audio book.

Straight-to-Audio Productions, founded and led by Hans Anderson, is working to complete this audiobook. While chapter one is complete, and the rest of the book is written, a re-write of the rest of the book and production of the soundtrack and score is still needed.

Hans Anderson is an experienced audio producer, with several short pieces having made it on National Public Radio and various public radio stations around the nation. Hans' work has been featured on the Public Radio Exchange (http://prx.org/) and Transom.org. Hans received a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV production from the University of Montana in 1994 and has actively pursued audio production as a secondary income to his busy life as a web applications developer.

Work on this audio book production with Hans will allow an intern to learn and experience audio production in a real-world, virtual work environment using a myriad of production tools such as Sony Vegas, Acoustic Mixcraft, Garage Band, iMovie, live production with keyboards & guitars and to be a part of an exciting team working to complete a revolutionary new audiobook genre.

Members of the internship program will be working in a team environment to create the story lines, record and edit the spoken audio, compose and edit the accompanying music score. In most cases, the member of the internship program will need to use their own computer.

The episodes will be available on iTunes, for free, for the duration of the production that involves interns. At a future point, the productions may be offered on iTunes for sale on an episode-by-episode basis, and possibly as a CD set.
